Keukenhof, o maior jardim de flores do mundo, deu início à sua 69ª edição no dia 22 de março e permanecerá aberto ao público até o dia 13 de maio de 2018. Independentemente do inverno ter sido rigoroso e embora ainda esteja muito frio na Europa, a primavera chegou em Keukenhof e as primeiras tulipas, narcisos e outras flores de bulbos, já estão florescendo!

Em torno de Keukenhof há inúmeros campos coloridos de flores. Durante o festival você pode fazer um tour por essa deslumbrante área e desfrutar de uma vista paradisíaca; de bicicletas ou por voos de helicópteros, seguramente será uma experiência única e inesquecível!

O tema de Keukenhof para 2018 é Romance in Flowers. Um dos motivos para a escolha deste mote foi o fato do parque ter sido projetado no meio da era romântica (1857) como um jardim ornamental para o Castelo Keukenhof, e porque segundo Bart Siemerink, diretor do parque, “flores e romance estão intrinsecamente ligados”. Durante a cerimônia de abertura houve uma performance de dois atores interpretando Romeu e Julieta. Logo em seguida, a poeta Ester Naomi Perquin recitou uma ode à primavera, escrita especialmente para Keukenhof.

Approach

Of course they’ll never cry out ‘bloom’. Or ‘grass’. Or ‘flowers’.
They’ll never kiss someone who unequivocally
requested same. That’s not a thing they’d do,
it could be taken the wrong way.

They avoid those sky-high misconceptions. Of course they watch the clock.
Arrange a day or hour. Never anything that just slips by and it seems
to lasts forever – like lying in a boat, on quiet water, and in that new-born light,

Personagem de destaque do “Parade Flowers” foi o Pato Rubber Duck, todo revestido de flores. O pato é uma criação do artista plástico holandês, Florentijn Hofman. A propósito, tenho a impressão de já ter visto esse pato passeando por terras tupiniquins!!! Será que o plagiaram?
